Ms. Osborne
I have been teaching at Devinny Elementary going on 17 years. Prior to teaching 5th grade for the last three years, I taught 4th grade for eight years, and 2nd grade for five years. I am REALLY excited for this upcoming 5th grade class! It is always a great experience for the students and me. I graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with my undergraduate degree and received my Master’s degree in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Denver. I have a passion for education and absolutely love being an elementary school teacher. I look forward to another wonderful year of teaching at Devinny!

Mrs. Koury
This is my seventeenth year teaching at Devinny and I love being here! Along with my undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Education, I have my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction. Reading has always been one of my passions and I hope your students learn to love reading as well.

On a personal level, I have 3 amazing children (don't we all have amazing children!) - two daughters and a son in the middle. They are the joys of my life! All three attended Green Mountain Schools and graduated from Colorado universities (CU-Boulder, DU & UCD). Our oldest also got a graduate degree from the University of Washington. All 3 live in Colorado (Lakewood, Boulder & Colorado Springs). We love spending time with family and friends. We also enjoy traveling, hiking and experiencing all that Colorado has to offer.

I have the best job in the world getting to spend the day learning and working with your wonderful students. I enjoy their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and trying new things. I’m looking forward to our year together!

Mrs. Phenna
My name is Alisa Phenna and I am the 5th grade GT teacher at Devinny. This is my sixth year at Devinny. My teaching career began in Sheffield, England where my husband and I lived for 10 years. My husband is British and two of my three children were born there. My three beautiful children are Steven (23), Katherine (20) and Esther (18).
I come from a diverse professional background where teaching wasn’t my first career. I was a Deputy Juvenile Officer for 5 years before training to be a teacher. I got into this position after receiving my B.S. in Psychology. My love for teaching began to be fostered as I worked with kids in a “lock-down” facility, helping them complete school work. Thus began my training for my teaching degree. I hold a Masters in Education and an endorsement as a Gifted and Talented Specialist. Big titles that simply mean...I love kids and learning!
My personal passions are nature and gardening. I live in the mountains where we will frequently get to two feet of snow overnight. It is always fun and fast getting to work coming down the mountain. I love growing vegetables, all kinds, as it comes natural being originally from Arkansas. I grew up in the south and yes you will hear it!
I am looking forward to working with your children and seeing them grow in mind, body and spirit. Devinny is a wonderful school and I am very thankful to be part of such a wonderful team!
