About the Library

Meet Mrs. Kramer

I am very excited for my fourth year at Devinny Elementary!  I have been a Librarian for six years and was a classroom teacher for six years before that. I have a beautiful baby girl named Brynlee who will be three in December, a husband name Charles and two dogs named Dixie and Duke. I am from Texas so I know more about hurricanes than these Colorado winter snow storms, and even though I am now in Colorado I cheer for my Houston Texans and Houston Astros! :)

We had a lot of fun in the Library last year as part of the specials rotation and I plan to keep that going this year during weekly checkouts and makerspace time. We have removed the old office and circulation desk in the library to make more room for studnets and it looks amazing! In the Makerspace we have all our fun Robotics tools and other Tech/STEM tools. All students will have Makerspace time throughout the year. We will go on virtual field trips (VR) and bring Augmented reality (AR) into the classrooms to help enhance our units of study. We will also enjoy two in person books fairs this year, one in September/October and one in May. The books fair are a great way to add to your libraries at home while also helping to build our school library and technology tools.
